Hi! I am Marie Bendeck.
Multidisciplinary UX/UI and Visual Designer with 16+ years of experience across branding, print, digital, and product design. Skilled in creating intuitive interfaces and design systems for SaaS applications, marketing websites, and mobile apps across government, entertainment, and small business sectors. Known for delivering high-quality, user-centered solutions through strong collaboration, attention to detail, and a flexible, problem-solving mindset. Adept at managing multiple projects, bridging cross-functional teams, and consistently exceeding client and stakeholder expectations.
Born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, a growing city in the heart of Central America. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing in Graphic Design from the University of Central Florida (Class of 2010). Through my years as a graphic designer, I shifted my focus primarily to the are of user experience design. Initially focusing on making websites visually appealing to planning out how to display the information for the client's specific needs, thinking about what the end user was looking for on a website, and designing based on the client's end goals whether it was sales, showcasing services, or performing a complex task such as submitting online request forms, or translating business tasks into a web application.
With over 16 years of combined experience, I have worked for various clients and agencies gaining experience in print design, advertising campaigns, social media, editorial design, web design, web application design, and branding.
I am currently based in Orlando, FL, working as a Senior UI/UX designer for ICF - a government contractor. I am currently working on a web application for the United States Forest Service for the BAER program.
When I'm not crafting user interfaces and prototyping workflows, I enjoy watching good films or tv shows with great stories and amazing cinematography. I also enjoy collecting music related items (records, books, live shows), attending live show, going on vacation to new spots and taking photographs, specifically street, nature and architectural photography.
